iPhones are becoming incredibly capable camera devices. For the average person, a smartphone is really all they need to start taking great pictures and saving their memories. Of course, it might not be the best device for professional videos and photographs, but it really depends on what you’re trying to achieve. For serious use, a camera is always preferred if it’s a high-end one with lots of features and a great reputation. However, for most people, an iPhone is really all they need.

Get used to the camera settings and features
There are a surprising number of features that come with Apple’s built-in camera app for iPhones. You can adjust many different settings and make small adjustments to how you take pictures. However, if you’re looking for a bit more control and want to transform your iPhone into an all-in-one photography machine, then you might want to consider using a different camera app.
There are many different camera apps available on the App Store that add unique features like manual ISO changes and shutter speed, and you can even photograph in RAW format if you want the absolute best quality. There are also depth features and it’ll feel a bit more like a professional camera. We suggest trying a few of these apps out, especially if you’re used to a more advanced camera with manual settings.
Start making use of iCloud
iCloud is Apple’s answer to cloud storage. Every Apple account comes with some iCloud storage by default but it’s not enough to store loads of photographs. For a very low price of $0.99 per month, you can upgrade this to 50GB. This is enough for around 20,000 pictures, but it really depends on the quality of the pictures you take and also if you’ve taken any videos. This is a really rough number, but it’s a great place to store your most precious photos and you can easily access them on other devices for editing or for sharing. You can upgrade to 200GB and 2TB iCloud storage if you need even more space for your photos.
The main purpose of iCloud is to store your photos in the cloud so that they’re protected and you can access them from other devices. It might seem a bit smaller than what you can keep on your phone, but you should think of it more as a backup solution in the event you lose your phone or it’s damaged and you need to recover the photos.
Use different apps to help you manage your photo library
If you’re like most people, then you’ll keep your iPhone for a long time and during that time, you’ll have taken loads of pictures. This is where it helps to download apps that can help you manage your photo collection. Some apps let you delete duplicate photos and others let you create custom albums that are separate from the iOS default ones. All of these apps are designed to help you make it a lot easier to manage your photo collection.
