Webinars are truly one of the best marketing techniques around - especially if you’re looking to make sales online from things like courses, programs or digital products, then webinars are really going to help you with this.

However, webinars are something that really have to be mastered. They’ve gotten a pretty bad reputation because some people in certain business circles have been using them in the wrong way and really not delivering good value and only focusing on making as much money as possible.

So, in this post we’re going to share with you some tips for how to make webinars work for you.

Reverse engineer the outcome and offer:

When it comes to putting on a successful webinar, then the main thing to boost your chances is to really look at the outcome you want to achieve and work backwards from there so you can plan out all the steps you need to cover in the webinar. Another thing to consider is the offer you’re going to be making at the end. If you’re offering a free webinar, then you should be offering something for sale at the end, and the content of the webinar should be based around this and logically lead into the end offer that you want them to buy.

Make your intro short and to the point:

The other mistake that many people make with webinars is that they spend the majority of their time talking about themselves, and whilst it’s certainly important to introduce yourself and build that connection with them, they don’t need or want your whole life story because they’re there to learn from you - not about you.

Break up your slides into bullet points:

When it comes to your webinar slides, it’s important to lay everything out in a way that’s easily broken down and readable. The best way to do this is use each page with bullet points so that the information can be viewed at a glance on the screen and doesn’t just appear as a huge wall of text.

Use a robust software:

Especially today, there is no shortage of great webinar platforms to help you deliver a great webinar, but it always depends on what you need in terms of features, so it’s always a good idea to have a look around and see what’s available and even test some out just to see what works best for you. No matter which one you choose, you can always watch lots of free demos and tutorials to find out how this incredible presentation software works and if it’s the right one for you.

Focus on delivering real value:

As mentioned above, too many people have been focusing on making money without giving any value, and if you want your webinars to actually work for you in terms of sales, then you’re going to need to be doing the opposite and making sure that they’re also working for the people attending them, so taking the time to deliver webinars with great value is really going to make all the difference in the results you and how successful you are with your webinars.
