Corporate corruption is a big problem at the minute, let us tell you that. The more companies that are being produced, the more problems that are being created. In the race for power and a greed for money, corners are being cut like you wouldn’t believe. You might be a sweet little innocent company at the minute, but that’s not to say that a few years down the line, corporate corruption will catch up with you, and you’ll be making some dodgy decisions in the hunt for more for your business. But corporate corruption can so easily lead to your employees being left outraged, your competitors looking to sue, and your company falling down before you. We don’t want that to happen to you, so we want to show you some of the most common ways a company can fall into the corporate corruption trap, and why you seriously shouldn’t!

Employee Wrong Doings

This is where companies seem to go wrong the most, and we hate the thought of the people who work so hard for their company, should fall victim to anything that would do them wrong. But, day in day out, employees are damaged. One of the biggest ways that a company tries to do this, is by falling short when it comes to payday. They’ll either say that they didn’t work the amount of hours that they did, not pay them for overtime that they definitely did, or take more money and say it was tax. It’s so wrong of a company to take from employees that earn so little in comparison to what the company does. But, it is a real issue, and one that we want to stop you from ever doing. If you do commit wage theft, your employees have every right to sue you, and the repercussions of that on both your finances and your reputation and your other employees. As soon as they catch wind of it happening to one employee, they’ll start investigating their own pay for any little discrepancy, leading to more and more lawsuits. Before you know it, you have a team of employees so thin you can’t run your company, and a reputation that will be seriously hard to rebuild!

Dodgy Dealings

Dodgy dealings are bound to happen in business, it’s what makes the industry so corrupt. For one, you’ve got dodgy dealings in terms of business finances. You wouldn’t believe the amount of companies who put their money in banks overshores to try and avoid tax. And you wouldn’t believe the amount of companies who get caught. No matter how hard you think it is having to pay business tax, because we know the bill can be big enough to make your eyes water, you should never consider sending your money overseas. You’re so likely to get caught, and you’ll definitely face some prison time. Bite the bullet, always pay your business taxes and expenses, and you’ll never have any issues! As long as you’re always legit, your business will go the full mile.
