Sell Your Stuff

You can use local services such as Craigslist and Gumtree to list your belongings that you don’t need. It could be something as simple as an outdated phone, to a large piece of antique furniture you’ve been keeping around. If you’re unsure of the value of your items, especially antiques, then contact a trusted appraiser and get them to value your belongings. If you’re unsure about the price of old electronics, then you can attempt to match the prices of existing listings or search on an online market such as Amazon.

If you prefer not to do face-to-face trade, then eBay is the next best option. Take plenty of high-quality photos, list them on the website, and purchase some cardboard boxes to use as shipping containers. Remember to take into account payment methods (the site usually handles this) and make the buyer paying for any shipping costs.

Take a Loan

It might not be the prettiest option, but it’s certainly the easiest (assuming your credit rating is alright). Speak with your bank or any local services and look at what finance options they offer you. Just remember that you’re borrowing money, and you'll have to pay it back with interest. Only take out a loan if you’re in a stable financial situation and if you’re desperate for some extra cash, or you really want to buy something expensive.

Review Products

There are plenty of websites that will pay you to review products. Most of the time, you’ll need to buy the product yourself—they won’t give you free stuff, but it’s a nice way to get a bit of extra cash back on your purchases. You can also review products that you already own such as your phone, computer parts, or even kitchen appliances. Be careful with somethings if you don't know the value. Get it appraised. That police flashlight that seems worth a few pennies might be worth a lot more. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to find some websites that give out trial products for review.

Products aren’t the only things you can review. You can also write reviews for TV shows, movies, and even video games. However, don’t expect to get paid much for these until you build up an audience or you’re recruited by a company to write part-time.

Online Surveys

You can earn a bit of extra cash by completing surveys for the best survey sites. These usually take a few minutes to do, and they usually run on referral services—the more people you invite, the more money you’ll make together. The pay isn’t amazing, but for answering a couple of surveys each day, the amount adds up and you’ll get a bit of additional pocket money to spend each week. If you’re fast at filling out the surveys, you could sign up for multiple different sites to increase your income.
