Start With Blogging

The easiest way to nail digital marketing with a small budget is to start a blog. Blogging is a free marketing option. Add a blog on your website and start posting content on a regular basis.

You should be posting long-form content for a very targeted audience. Google likes it when you drill down into a niches so you can focus on a more specific audience. This is more effective than trying to reach as many people as you can, as a more targeted audience has a better chance of a conversion.

Use Social Networking Ads

Platforms like Facebook’s Power Editor have shown their worth as effective advertising platforms. What makes these tools so effective is that you can get started with very small budgets. Get in now, as prices are gradually going up as the platforms get more popular.

To get the best results, you need to make use of split testing. A/B testing is important with social media, as you can work out exactly what your audience will respond to the best. Don’t start with a large budget, as Facebook can soon eat up budget.

Dabble In PPC

Paid search marketing is often overlooked by marketers as they think it doesn’t help those with smaller budgets. Much like social media marketing, it’s easy for PPC to blow the budget very quickly. You will also need to split test, in the same way as you do with social media marketing.

PPC can take some effort to get your head around, so you shouldn’t jump straight in. Make sure you understand what you’re doing first.

Build An Email List

Email marketing is one of the most successful types of marketing. It is the easiest way to get in touch with your audience. Build up your email list as soon as you can, and give your target audience exclusive content that they can’t get anyway else.

At first, it can be difficult to see how email marketing will deliver a good return on your investment, but with some work, you should find that your email list is the people who will become your strongest brand ambassadors and your most valuable customers.

Work With Influencers

Influencers are the big names in your industry. They might be bloggers or even celebrities. Whoever they are, make use of them.

This is the most affordable method of digital marketing on a budget because it can often cost nothing but time. With the right influencer, the possibilities can be endless as you’re tapping into their target audience and boosting your brand through association.
