Go With Your Skill Set

While it might be tempting to leap headfirst into a totally new venture, the quickest way to get established and make money, is by using the skills you already have. You won’t need to invest time or money in getting your skills to par, you just need to use what you have. There is nothing stopping you gaining new skills while you’re working, ready for you next venture - but for now, go with what you know.

You Are the Swiss Army Knife

When it comes to running a business, you can hire countless people to come and do the jobs that need doing, and in time, that is something to aim for. But, right now you should be doing everything that is within your power to do. You are everything from an accountant to a social media expert. So, while the main purpose of your business works solely on the skills you already have, the way you’re going to get it up and running is by taking charge of it all too. Learn to build a website, try out different social media scheduling platforms, and test out simple accounting software too.

No Place Like Home

While co-working spaces and cafes might be somewhere you want to spend time - remember that the membership fees or even having to buy a coffee to take up table space all add up. Over the space of a year, it isn’t usually all that cost-effective. You should, however, attend all of the networking possibilities that takes place at those co-working venues. They’re usually free, with great coffee, great people and a lot of opportunities. In the meantime, stay at home, and drink your own coffee.

If you work on Apple it might be tempting to use their cloud, but bear in mind to every is a mac lover, Google, however, is a stable for almost everyone. Ideally, you should choose a  platform that is scalable, so as your business grows you can add on the paid for packages. In the interim, Google has enough gadgets to help you run any business from anywhere and always deliver to clients.
