Although it takes more than a business logo to make your business successful, having an awesome logo can help you on the way. If you’d like to blow people away with an amazing business logo, take this advice:
Carefully Choose Your Colors
You might not think that the colors of your logo matter all that much, but they absolutely do. The colors you choose reflect different feelings and moods. You need to have good reasons for choosing the colors that you do. Here are some ideas to help you:
Red can give the feeling of energy.
Pink can make people feel fun and flirty.
White is simple and clean.
Blue is tranquil, trustworthy and professional.
Orange is creative and friendly.
Black is credible and powerful.
There are usually both ups and downs to using certain colors. For instance, red can make you feel energised and bold. However, it can also signal danger. Make sure you consider these things when making your choices.
Avoid Hipster Cliches
There are so many hipster logo cliches out there. Make sure you’re unique and original. Don’t just do what everybody else is doing! You’ve probably seen a few logos that look very similar. Make sure yours isn’t like any you’ve seen before.
Have A Custom Font
A custom font is an amazing way to make your business logo unique. It can stop people from creating anything like you too. Using a standard font makes it all too easy for people to rip you off. Create a custom font and make sure it matches your brand’s personality.
Keep It Simple
People think they have to come up with a ton of ideas and make their logo super complicated to make it good. This isn’t true. You can keep your logo super simple, and still blow people away. Sometimes, it’s what you don’t include rather than what you do include. Just look at two of the most successful and recognisable brands out there; Apple and Nike. Their logos couldn’t be simpler, yet everybody knows it’s them. There are lots of other examples out there too. Take a look and see what you can do!
Sketch Your Ideas
Sketch out lots of different ideas before you decide on the ones you’d like to pursue. A professional logo designer offering affordable logo design should be able to create a final draught for you.
Make sure your logo is smart. Add a clever element to it if at all possible. For instance, if you’re going to use an image, could you make the image double up in some way? For example, if you look at it one way could it be one thing, and another when you look at it another way? Could it be two things at once if you turn it upside down? Doing something like this is super clever and always makes an impact.
Now you are prepared to create a logo people love and recognise. Remember, your first idea will usually be the most cliche. Keep going until you have something you’re truly happy with!
